We are open during regular business hours for all routine dental care.
Our top priority is the health and well-being of our patients, families, staff and community. Our staff have all been fully vaccinated + boosted, and we have implemented a number of changes in our procedures to control the amount of aerosols. Our office follows the infection control recommendations from the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
January 2023 Update: In accordance with the Cal/OSHA COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standards, dental-office staff and patients must continue to wear face masks regardless of vaccination status, dental offices must continue to screen patients for COVID-19 prior to their appointments, and personnel involved in aerosol-generating procedures should continue to wear an N-95 respirator when involved in aerosol-generating procedures
We have implemented the following changes in our office that we want you to be aware of:
● Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You may be asked those same questions again when you arrive to the office.
● If you are having, or have recently experienced, any symptoms such as headache, fever, cough, sore throat, congestion, loss of smell or taste, or shortness of breath, please call our office to reschedule your appointment. If you have come into close contact with a person who has been experiencing any of the above symptoms, or who has recently tested positive for COVID-19, please call us.
● Please come alone to your appointment, unless you require a caretaker. Minor children with appointments may be accompanied by one adult. Designated drivers will be asked to wait in the car.
● Please be sure to wear a face mask to your appointment. CAL/OSHA still require masks to be worn in all medical and dental facilities, regardless of vaccination status.
● Hand sanitizers will be available around the office. We ask that you use them when you arrive for your appointment and after your visit.
● Please limit the amount of personal items you bring into the office.
● All equipment which will come into contact with you will be wiped down and disinfected.
● You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
● Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
● We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
● We want to keep waiting room gathering a minimum. If you arrive more than 10 minutes before your appointment, please park and call our office to let us know you have arrived. A staff member will let you know when we are ready for you to come into the office.
● Touchless payment options (credit cards, debit cards) are preferred.
Thank you for your loyalty and support through these difficult COVID changes!
Sincerely,
Caroline Peterson D.M.D., Melinda Chan D.D.S., Audrey Peterson D.D.S.
